Our story
Second Chances,
Paid Forward.
At just 19 years old, the owner of Uppercuts Barbershop faced a devastating car crash that nearly took his life. Trapped in an upside-down car, he thought it was the end. But then, heroes appeared — firefighters, paramedics, and emergency medical teams who worked tirelessly to save him. Their quick action and unwavering dedication pulled him from the wreckage and gave him a second chance.
Years later, life tested him again with a heart attack. Paramedics and doctors stepped in, bringing him back from the edge. Their skill and care saved his life, giving him more time to continue building the life he had always dreamed of.
But it wasn't just his life that was saved. His mother also faced a critical moment, needing a liver transplant to survive. Doctors stepped in once more, saving her life. These experiences of survival and second chances taught him the true meaning of gratitude and giving back.
Countless friends and family members have been saved by the selfless work of doctors, nurses, and paramedics. These experiences shaped his perspective, leading him to a commitment to honour the heroes who save lives every day.
Now, as the proud owner of Uppercuts Barbershop, he's turning gratitude into action with a 15% discount for first responders, doctors and nurses as a token of appreciation for their heroic efforts.
In the community
More Than
A Business.
Uppercuts Barbershop has always been more than just a business — it's a part of the community. Over the years it has hosted events, taken part in local initiatives and supported charitable causes.
The team at Uppercuts believes strong communities are built on mutual support and kindness. By recognising the heroes in their midst, they hope to inspire others to do the same.
"Every time I look at where I am today, I think about the people who saved me and my family. They gave us a second chance when all seemed lost. This discount is a small token of our gratitude for the heroes who do this work day in and day out. To all the doctors, nurses, paramedics and first responders out there: thank you for everything you do."
